Random bits of news
1. Juliana grew! We got updated height and weight last night and I was so sad as Julina still weighed the same as she did in January (we got May numbers yesterday). This morning I took a closer look and she grew 2.75 inches between January and May. This is very exciting. She still weighed 30 pounds, but she was taller - 3 feet tall in May. Andy gained 1 kilo and 4 centimeters between November and May, so he was 44 lbs and 47 inches tall in May, when he was last measured.
2. The kids are and have been at summer camp all summer. !!!!!! That's all we know. It is rather surreal to get email telling you where your kids are, and it is somewhere you had never even thought about.
3. Our really important HAS-TO-BE-THERE-BY-AUGUST-FIRST-OR-ELSE documents were delivered to Khabarovsk last night. Remember the road trip on July 12th? Same documents. Apparently they have been touring the world the long way between leaving in Olympia on the 12th and arriving in Khab on the 27th.
4. Yesterday was, btw, our 19-months pregnant marker.
5. One of the bloggy families I follow -- Damon and Kim -- just brought home two little boys who are only a month older than Juliana. You may enjoy reading her informative posts.
6. We bought a Mommy-Car. Yup. It's the newest car I have ever owned, only ten years old, 1996 Green Subaru Legacy. I'm very happy with it.

Glad to hear your paperwork made it there. Also glad to hear your kiddos have grown. That's good to know that they are progressing. Hopefully you will bring them home before they grow too much more. I'm rooting for court dates soon for everyone waiting!!!
What a relief that your paperwork got to Khab yesterday! I actually tracked Elle's on DHL yesterday (geek). Plenty of time for the 1st. Wow, you'll be hearing about your court date in a couple of days, soooo exciting!
Glad to know Juliana grew! Pickle didn't gain much weight, but grew. His chest circumfrence actually went down.
An interesting choice of a Matisse. Not a typical color palette of his. Of his era he was quite the individualist.
It's such a great feeling to know that the paperwork arrived! I received my court date two days later, so I can't wait to hear that you have your date! You will be traveling soon to get your precious children!
Hurrah, Suz....another hurdle down! And most happy to hear that Juliana's updated numbers were good :o) Hang in there, good news and a court date are just around the corner!
Love your blog and your entry today. Hope you dont mind a stranger posting..We are starting the process to adopt from China
Hi Amy,
Welcome. We were all strangers once. :) We also have a dossier in China - we hope for a referal next summer.
Elle, yes, it is an unusual palette for Matisse. I was very pleased to run across it as I love his work, especially his early work, but didn't have a wall that wanted his bold colors.
Best,
Suzanne
Suz,
We have a "mommymobile" We only have 1 child but we tend to be the only parents that want the other kids to play at our house so it comes in handy having the extra room.
Here's praying for a court date soon!
