Book Shopping

We were very very excited to find a bookstore open and even more excited to find a copy of Winnie the Pooh (in Russian of course) and even more excited, if such is possible, to find a copy of Narnia. This is not The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, but a book created from the movie. It looks as if the basic story is summarized and illustrated with stills from the movie. We will donate both to the orphanage. We also found a restaurant that serves yummy borscht. MMMMmmmm.

edited to ponder how I failed to mention the Harry Potter display that we found!

Hi! I love having a few Russian children's books. I wish I'd bought more..... Sounds like you found some great ones. When I was in Vladivostok, I looked everywhere for a Russian bible for my daughter and none were to be found. :-( Oh well, we found many other nice things.

Happy to hear that you and Jaime arrived safe and sound. Nick wants to know what room are you in at the Aneythst. Last Saturday night there was a huge outdoor party behind the hotel. We were in rm 31 so we just had the "boom, boom" of the bass to keep us awake; Kathleen and Eric had a front row view of the party from their window!! We are keeping you in our prayers :o)

Hello.

Serena, I hadn't even thought of bringing the books home; I'll have to go get duplicates!

Cathy and Nick, We were in 33 (burgandy) but moved to 34 (blue - the one on the Amythest website). D & L are in 22, the green room. The boom boom went all Saturday night but not at all last night. Yeah.

Thanks for the prayers!
